Be still, be silent, and receive His will

She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, "Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!" "Martha, Martha," the Lord answered, "you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed-or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her." Luke 10:39-42 NIV

I have learned to “Embrace the Quiet”. It was one of the hardest things to do in life, but one of the best things in life. We stay so distracted that many times we keep ourselves from dealing with situations. But as with today’s devotional, “Don't run from the quiet. Embrace it. And be aware that you might be changed by the risen Savior!” Like Martha’s sister Mary, may we be present with the Lord, even if there is work to be done, for He has a message for us, but we have to convene and connect to receive it.

Reflection from Let’s Read the Bible Together (2 Samuel 18, 2 Samuel 19, & 2 Samuel 20)

“…I will do whatever seems best to you.” 2 Samuel‬ ‭18‬:‭4‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Psalms 31:24

Even in meekness, know that things will always get better when you walk with Christ.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Be still, be silent, and receive His will, my friend.
