Feed your soul daily to change your world

But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. (1 Corinthians 15:57-58)

The following question is asked in today’s devotional “Victory”: “Do you know that you have the power of God on your side, and he has already won against sin and death?” This is the truth and we only have to believe, trust, give our situations to him, and wait without worry. I have struggled with a particular temptation for a while now, and truly wondered how I would overcome it. Then from dreams the past two nights, and reading today’s devotional, I realized this morning that God has eased the situation and I have felt no pain or discomfort. The devotional says, “Daily, we are engaged in our own battle against sin. Left to ourselves, we don't have the strength necessary to win the fight. But when it seems all hope is lost, our reinforcement Jesus Christ--arrives, and we gain the strength to boldly obtain the victory over sin.” If we truly ask and trust Him, He will make a way. His ways are not our ways and may not look like we expect. Think of what you have asked for and reflect. Has He answered a prayer and you didn’t take the time to realize it?

Reflection from Spiritual Disciplines

Day 2 of “Spiritual Disciplines” speaks to “Discipline of Study”, and emphasizes “The Bible is not a cake to be enjoyed occasionally! It is our daily bread!” It goes on to say, “The main purpose of studying is not doctrine purity, but inward change. We come to the Scriptures in order to be transformed, not just to accumulate information. The Scripture’s principles are the guidebook we need, the standard for everyone!” Change is inevitable. May our change come from evolving daily through studying the Word.

No matter how low we may feel, when we are humble and trust in the Lord, know that He will lift us up again.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
