Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. Ephesians 5:21
There is a word that most people have an issue with, particularly when it comes to RElationships in this day and age, and that is submit. As today’s message frames it, “In a world of equal opportunity and pursuit for equality, submission can be a tough pill to swallow…. If submission seems like a stumbling block to you, try thinking about the word acceptance…. The opposite of submission is resistance, and this is where all sorts of trouble can brew. “When it comes to our interactions with others, especially a significant other, REsistance pulls individuals apart, going against two to BEcome one, and the expectation isn’t for one or more for one than another. Let us strive to BE accepting of one another as our Father accepts each one of us with our flaws, flare ups, faith and all.
John 12
Jesus speaks in John 12:32 and 47 saying, “If I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me…. And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.”
REflection from Becoming Me: Choosing to Be You
As we wrap up the series “Becoming Me: Choosing to Be You” the scripture 1 Peter 3:15 is highlighted. “…but sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:” In this life it is important for us to share our JOurneY, for our lives are not our own. We are here to BE willing vessels for Christ, and what better way to draw others to Him than to speak of how He has brought us T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) for our breakthrough. As the author says, when we share our stories, “God meets me in my mess and reminds me of the truth I so often offer those around me:… this is your story and your story is what makes you who I created you to be. It’s in you. I birthed it in you. You can’t mess it up.” She goes further to say, “Because as I share who I am with them, I’m also inviting them to be brave with their own story. And that, well, that’s worth it all.” Let us BE the present day disciples for Christ, whose story will live in others’ hearts to REmind them of the miracle working power of our Father is present day. May we walk with grace and gratitude for what He’s done and continues to do in and through me and you.

All of us play a piece in the bigger puzzle of life. There is no peace of one piece is missing, broken or lost—one is done of one, is done to all. Therefore let us love and expect the same thing of and for others as we do for ourselves.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
