He is everything, and everything we need is found in Him

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights. James 1:17

James 1:17 speaks about “The Perfect Gift” saying, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights.” This morning I am going to quote the entire devotional from the “3-Minute Devotions for Women” as it is such a beautiful reminder to us.

“We often seek material advantages, but God gives spiritual advances, often through adversity. Therefore, we must learn to receive all circumstances as wise gifts from God's loving hand. Viewing our troubles as tools to enhance our relationship with the Giver results in the joy He knew would be the ‘perfect gift’ for our needs.”

Everything, even our challenges, is a gift to us from God. He knows what we need, when we need it, and why. Let us forever trust in Him.

Reflection from Let’s Read the Bible Together (Deuteronomy 5, 7, & 1 Corinthians 3)

He is our One and Only, true and living God. As the scripture says, “”I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. Thou shalt have none other gods before me. Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth: thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me, and shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.” Deuteronomy‬ ‭5‬:‭6‬-‭10‬ ‭

2 Corinthians 12:9

Everything we need is found in Him. We lack for nothing when we depend on Him.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
