“Awake, lute and harp! | will awaken the dawn. I will praise You, O LoRD, among the peoples, and I will sing praises to You among the nations. For Your mercy is great above the heavens, and Your truth reaches to the clouds.” Psalm 108:2-4

Today’s devotional “Awaken the Dawn” begins with Psalm 108:2-4. “Awake, lute and harp! | will awaken the dawn. I will praise You, O LoRD, among the peoples, and I will sing praises to You among the nations. For Your mercy is great above the heavens, and Your truth reaches to the clouds.” The writer for today’s message says, “David's poetic lines reveal intentionality in starting the day with an attitude of praise. He writes of waking up early to thank God for His mercy and of wanting to make everything around him sing because of God's goodness.” May we work to rise each day to thank God for another opportunity, and to set the tone for our day with focus on Him and His plans for our lives.

In Psalm‬ ‭91‬:‭14‬-‭16 God says, ”‘I will save those who love me and will protect those who acknowledge me as Lord. When they call to me, I will answer them; when they are in trouble, I will be with them. I will rescue them and honor them. I will reward them with long life; I will save them’.”
