His grace and compassions fail not
“Each time he said, ‘My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.’ So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9
The title of today’s devotional is the message within itself: “Sleep Isn’t Enough”. Sleep is definitely not enough for the weary and worn, yet God’s grace is always sufficient when nothing else will do. May we hold tight to 2 Corinthians 12:9, which says, “Each time he said, ‘My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.’ So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.” We, too, can boast about our weaknesses for in Him we will be made strong.
Reflection from Casting Doubts Aside
This morning’s message from “Casting Doubt Aside” continues to speak about thoughts of doubt and how to overcome it. It begins saying, “Doubt is often the result of lost hope that a brighter day is on the horizon. You’ve seen so many bad days that it’s hard to hope for better. Maybe you are experiencing hardship or suffering, and you wonder how God could be concerned about you and let it all happen.” We are then reminded of the speaker in Lamentations 3:17-24, and the importance of in reflection in such times. What God has done before, He will do again, for His compassions fail not and are new every morning. He knows, cares, and will keep and bring us through.
