In all that we do, let us be guided, direct, and speak and act as Christ directs us to do
Flying of the Handle
I have always reminded myself that words spoken can never be taken back. Today’s devotional speaks about love and reminds us to be careful with what we say and how we say it. “The ‘love is patient, love is kind’ passage in Paul's letter to the Corinthians (1 Corinthians 13:4) is one of the world's most well-known descriptions of love. After giving the positive attributes of love, Paul flips the coin to explain what love is not: It is not rude or easily angered.” As we go about each day, let us lead with love in our actions, and especially with our words. Research shares that the average person speaks 16,000 words a day. Make it a mission to speak life, for life and death is in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21).
Proverbs 15:1 says, “A gentle response defuses anger, but a sharp tongue kindles a temper-fire.”
Let us be careful of the words we speak; may they be sweet and not weapons to defeat.
Small Straw Scripture: Luke 10:19
Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
God has promised us the ultimate protection against all that the enemy tries to bring against us. There is nothing that can stand up against God’s will for our lives.
Youversion Verse of the Day:1 Peter 3:15
“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear.”
May Christ always be within us and may we always speak about Him and His goodness.
In all that we do, let us be guided, direct, and speak and act as Christ directs us to do, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
