He is preparing the way each and every day
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. Psalm 23:2
The devotional from “Strength for a Woman” says, “Can you think of anything that a stressed and grieving person could use more than calmness and restful silence? God knows what we need to restore our souls, to refresh us in our heartache. But it's hard to hear his words of comfort if were zipping around.” I am that person; I am overwhelmed with stress and grieving. But as the accompanying scripture from Psalm 23, with and emphasis on verse 2 says, “He leads me beside still waters.” The writer of the devotional goes on to say, “The water draws us to it and the silence and stillness invite us to also be motionless. Those still waters give us rest for our soul.” One of my favorite scriptures Psalm 46:10, REminds us to BE still and know He is God. There is comfort and healing in stillness, therefore we should seek opportunities to still away, and BE still, for like the waters, He will give us REst for our souls.
REflection from “When You Don’t Love Your Job” by Jordan Raynor.
Today we will BEgin “When You Don’t Love Your Job” by Jordan Raynor. The statistics associated with this plan from a 2017 Gallup Poll states, “85% of people around the globe are dissatisfied with their job.” Wow! I have come to hear from a number of individuals lately who are a part of this population. We are encouraged by today’s message to “Remember the Biblical Purpose of Work”. It says, “When you’re in a job you don’t love, it can be easy to forget that work was a part of God’s perfect design for us…. But as soon as sin entered the picture, work became difficult and painful—a reality we still experience today… our modern culture has elevated work to a position God never intended.“ Let us evaluate our positions to ensure they have not BEcome idols, for God is the only One that provides our sense of purpose in Him and through Him. Let us REmember Colossians 3:23 this day and each day to REmain focus and keeping a positive perspective: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”
Galatians 6:9
Let us seek the Father for the strength we need to see things through until He opens the door for me and you.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
He is preparing the way each and every day, my friend.
