May we never forget how important we are, and especially to our Father
Prayer Break
Today’s piece “Prayer Break” shares the story of Shaheed Amanullah, a muslim who was highlighted in a newspaper article as a result of being being a Muslim living in an American city. He spoke about taking time out to pray on Friday’s, which is the Muslim’s sabbath. He was quoted as saying, “It is a kind of reality check. You pause what you are doing and remember why you're here, what your purpose is and who to be thankful for." This is a reminder that as we deal with the stresses, anxiety, issues in life, take a prayer break. A break will take us away from what is causing us to not be centered and at peace. It will redirect our focus to the One who holds our lives in His hands; the One who we can give every situation to and leave it.
During these times in life, but more importantly each day, consider the words written in Psalms 55:22, “Give your burdens to the Lord, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.” He is the ultimate protector and comforter of our lives.
FMBC Weekly Reading: Romans 5:6-11 For while we the people were yet sinners
“When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s condemnation. For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son. So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.” Romans 5:6-11 NLT
God thought so much of us when we were doing wrong as sinners to give His only son for our lives. That is the evidence that He will do exceedingly and abundantly more than we can imagine as we follow Him. May we work to truly keep the perspective of His unconditional love for you and me.
Youversion Verse of the Day: Psalm 139:10 “…even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me.”
There is truly nowhere we can go or hide to keep our Father from us; He’s just that concerned about us and just that good to us.
May we never forget how important we are, and especially to our Father, my friend .🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
