Encourage with courage

“Encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11

In this life, as followers of Christ there is REally no time for selfishness. As this morning’s message says, we must work to “Encourage Others”. As 1 Thessalonians 5:11 REads, “Encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.” Every opportunity we have we should work to motivate and support our brothers and sisters with the word of the Lord. We are REminded by today’s devotional, “We are called upon to share that encouragement with other believers so they too can be motivated to endure…. Then, let us humbly serve other believers, provide them comfort, and spur them on in their faith.“ If we can’t do anything else, let us BE giving to others in some capacity each day, working to motivate and feed their soul, if only from a simple smile of REassurance with God’s love.

The author BEgins, “When it comes to building a powerful and purposeful platform for the kingdom of God, substance, not superficiality, is the goal…. Character is determined by the standards that govern the way we live…. Character is cultivated in every decision we make.” Let us always work to BE an example of who Christ was and is in life, working to set a standard where no one’s words can negate the life that we have and continue to live.
