Intensely Emotional

We are reminded this morning that our emotions are nothing to hide, be ashamed of, or a sign of weakness. The author writes in this morning’s message, “We were created in His image. We were created to feel, to have emotions. Embrace them. Emotions are an expression of the heart. Don't be afraid to reveal your heart to others. Follow Jesus' example.” The same emotions we feel, our Father felt in life. They were given to us to make us mindful, compassionate, and concerned individuals about ourselves, others, and matters in this life. Never be ashamed to express your feelings appropriately.

John 11:35 reads, “Jesus wept”, and so can you.

Small Straws Scripture: 2 Corinthians 10:4-6

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

Every day we are in a battle spiritually where we must seek God to ensure we do His will, focused on the truth and doing what’s best for me and you.

He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.

Our Father cares for each of us with His gentle spirit and presence. He is ever-present to keep and guide us throughout each day and situation.
