Our Father is the one constant in life on whom we can always depend
Observe Faces
Kundtz encourages us today, “Reflect on the faces of your life. Perhaps take out some photos of family or friends, maybe of your grandparents. Contemplate those faces and notice what you see there.” There is a saying “it’s written all over your face”, which means whatever we are thinking, feeling, need, experiencing, etc. is shown on our face. Additionally, some say “the eyes are the windows to the soul”. So much (sometimes) can be said for a person without a word. May we take time to see individuals, for many times actions speak louder than words. Does someone look sad or upset? Don’t ignore what you see. Check on the individual and show concern, for that could be you or me in need.
On the other hand, if we are the ones in need, let us recall Numbers 6:26, which reads, “The Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” There is nothing we need, even in times when we may not be able to speak, that God will not provide; we only have to turn to Him.
Small Straw Scripture: Corinthians 4:16-18 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
As we go T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (trials, hurt, regret, obstacles, uncertainty, guilt, and heartbreak) we may grow weary in the flesh, but internally, we are being strengthened for life ahead, growing closer to and leaning and depending on Christ.
Youversion Verse of the Day: Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
Our faith is one thing we can be assured of that will produce even things we cannot imagine.
Our Father is the one constant in life on whom we can always depend, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
