Let love lead and lift you in all that you do

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, Hebrews 10:24

This morning’s devotional from “Daily Strength for Women” is titled “Gift of Rest”. It says, “Rest is a gift we can give to others who desperately need it. Ask God to show you a single parent, an elderly person, a caregiver, or a weary mom who needs some rest, and then become God's hands and feet to provide those moments for them. Give someone the gift of rest and discover the blessing during the process.” This life has become so consuming with “going” and “doing”,and people forget or find it hard to just “BE”. Who can you extend this gift to? For when you give, it shall be given unto you, too. Even if you can’t at the time,be sure to make time to grant rest for yourself.

Reflectiom from 7 Ways to Renew Your Mind

Today we learn of step 2 of the “7 Ways to Renew Your Mind”. Step 2 says, “Stop believing that you can’t control your thoughts.” In today’s message the writer compares our minds to borders of countries saying, “Every country has border patrol to stop people from entering who are not supposed to enter. It is for the protection and safety of the country. You have to set up a border control in your mind to stop all terrorist thoughts of doubt, fear, and negativity from entering and living in your mind. They only bring harm to your life.” The bible encourages us in Philippians 4:8 to think on good things. It is so critical to control our thoughts and capture each one, ensuring they are godly thoughts and work to cancel our those that are not.
