Prayer, petitions, and praise belong to the Lord

Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. James 5:13 NIV

Nike has the slogan, “Just Do It”. The it in reference to today’s message is “Just Pray”. The scripture associated today comes from James 5:13 and reads, “Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise.” It is evident from this, that for all things we should pray and from all things we should give praise. If we can’t do anything else—pray.
