Rejoice this day for Jesus was born for you and me
Let the sea and everything in it shout his praise! Let the earth and all living things join in. Psalm 98:7
“Joy to the World”! Let us exclaim this phrase and title for today. As today’s text says, “We celebrate because we know the significance of Christ being born as a human, entering in to our existence, and displaying what it meant to be fully alive. The restoration that Christ brings is something that will extend to all living things, and this is why can have joy on this day—we know that there is hope for the whole created world. Celebrate this hope as you celebrate this day.” Let us live fully, have joy in our hearts, and hope for our future as we remember the birth of Christ this day.
Reflection from Living as an Overcomer: Jesus’ Message to 7 Churches in Revelation by Tony Evans.
Today we begin the series “Living as an Overcomer: Jesus’ Message to 7 Churches in Revelation” by Tony Evans. Today’s introduction speaks to “Putting God First: The Church in Ephesus” by remembering what it was like before when Christ was first in your life. Second, we must repent. Evan’s writes, “When your relationship with God is relegated to second place or even less than that, you’re living in sin.” Third, we are encouraged to “Repeat What You Did at the Start”. Ask yourself, “When God was first, what did you do without even thinking twice?” Let us take these three lessons and work to evaluate our current state, and lead our lives in the Lord.
