Spiritual Health Tips

This morning’s message speaks about women saying, “We spend untold time and energy nurturing other people—a lifelong commitment to Jesus' command to love our neighbors as ourselves. Sometimes, however, we're so busy working, planning, celebrating, comforting, listening, and chauffeuring that we forget to invest in our own spiritual health.” It goes on to say, “When we dare to dream God's dreams and follow His direction, we gain the power to accomplish His will.” As I read this devotional, I noted the original date that I read it, which was etched in the top right corner: March 1. In the year of 2018 I first read that message, and that was my year of confirmation. Later today, I will look back in my journal to see what I wrote, but hindsight is 20/20. I may not have embraced it at the time, but my life now shows that I was obedient.

I did invest in my spiritual growth because I became lost, yet each day, like that day in March and even at this point, I have invested in my spiritual growth, exercising my opportunity to strengthen myself in Christ at minimum each morning. As the message says, I have evidence over the past years and even as most recent as in this moment as I look around me, that His power has allowed me to accomplish things that I could never imagine I would have to or that He planned for me. If you don’t already, trust Him intentionally with your life. Give Him the first moments of each day, and see where what He plans for you will take you on your way.

Jude 1:20-21 reads, “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.”

Let us not allow our love for others—man or woman—in anyway come before the love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Small Straws Scripture: Romans 8:38-39 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

In this life, there is nothing that can and no one who can love, protect, and provide for us the way our Father has, is, and will do for us.

Youversion Verse of the Day: Hebrews 4:9

“So then, a sabbath rest still remains for the people of God;“

In Christ, we don’t just find rest on the sabbath; He provides a peace that surpasses all understanding where we can rest spiritually, physically, emotionally, and in all ways, knowing we are in His hands and will, and all we have to do is be still.

Selah… and ensure you exercise every opportunity you have to strengthen your life in Christ, for when you do you shall experience no greater love and peace, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
