Sometimes we have to lose what’s of the world to win in Christ
Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life. John 12:25 NIV
John 12:25 says, "Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life.” Are you “Losing or Keeping”? When you first read that scripture, it could be a little startling if you don’t keep the right perspective. However, though you may love what you are experiencing now, God loves you more and wants to provide even more. Let us not be accepting of what’s good, for God wants to make it better. For those who may be experiencing hard times, remember, it’s only temporary. Don’t dwell on it, but pray about it, letting God bring you up and out.
Reflection from Let’s Read the Bible Together (2 Chronicles 27, 2 Chronicles 28, & 2 Chronicles 29)
“Then Hezekiah answered and said, Now ye have consecrated yourselves unto the LORD, come near and bring sacrifices and thank offerings into the house of the LORD. And the congregation brought in sacrifices and thank offerings; and as many as were of a free heart burnt offerings.” 2 Chronicles 29:31 KJV
Matthew 6:33
