RElationships in God and by God are priceless and precious
This morning’s message “Gems” from “Strength for Women” is so timely as a I wrap up a much needed REunion trip with line sisters. The associated scripture comes from Proverbs 27:9, and says: “Sweet friendships refresh the soul and awaken our hearts with joy, for good friends are like the anointing oil that yields the fragrant incense of God's presence.” This is what happened during my time with these women who have BEen in my life for 26 years. The message makes some comparisons with friendships and competitive sports stating, “When you sign up for a competitive team sport, you have a basic understanding that you're going to have to work hard and that emotions will run high to win and succeed…. Playing a competitive team sport can sometimes feel the same as building relationships with other women. We win some forming incredible relationships and others we lose.“ I am so grateful for the bond that God ordained 26 years ago for me and 19 other women that was most importantly founded on Christian principles, but a true connection (or as we would say, KOnnection) that REmains grounded and grows stronger as we grow together in life. I thank God each day for these women, and I pray that you, like me have at least one individual who stands with you, fights BEside you, and is always there for you. Sound like someone familiar? Yes, our Father, and with friendships like that you know that are specifically created and ordained by Him.
REflection from Overcome Weariness in the Trials of Life
Our final message from “Overcome Weariness in the Trials of Life” REminds us “Keep Your Eyes on the Lord”. The message says in our waiting for the Father, “Truth be told, though, it's not always easy to stay the course. We may do well for a while, but as the heat intensifies and our prayers continue to go unanswered, we revert to a state of weariness…. Instead of continuing to process our trials through the lens of scripture, we go back to viewing them from our finite, human perspective.“ That’s BEcause we lose focus, but Hebrews 12:1b-2a is highlighted today encouraging us to "run with endurance the race that lies before us, keeping our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer, and perfecter of our faith." We must understand that the challenges are going to come, but our endurance is found from REmaining in His word to help us get T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) to our breakthrough. As my favorite scripture REminds us, God is always going to work everything for our good.
Matthew 6:21
Our greatest treasure is the gift of life through Christ, therefore, let us stay connected with Him.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
