In the Moment October 1, 2021

“So, get going. I’ll be right there with you—with your mouth! I’ll teach you what to say.” Exodus 4:12

Each morning I awake and think to myself it’s a new day with new beginnings, new blessings, new mercies, and new opportunities. This morning, it’s also a new month. Osteen’s message this morning is titled “New Discoveries”. In the text he speaks about how every time he has seen growth in his life, it has involved adversity, loss, and disappointment. He REminds us, “You may be in a situation where you could be easily be discouraged, but God is going to use it to your advantage.” Last night I had a conversation over dinner with one of my siSTARS, and she asked for advice of how I learned to shift my mindset. I told her when I experience a situation whether I’m going T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) or in my breakthrough, I look at it as a blessing or a lesson.

In all that we are, in all that we do, there are new discoveries if we just change our view. The associated scripture today is from Exodus 4:12, and REads, “So, get going. I’ll be right there with you—with your mouth! I’ll teach you what to say.” Our Father will not only guide our words that we speak to others, but He will also guide our words and thoughts that we have to ourselves. When we have thoughts of hurt and defeat, let us REmember, He’s never lost a battle, and He never will. Just as important, we are His children, and like Him, we don’t lose, but sometimes we have to lose to win.

Numbers 14

Let us also REmember sometimes things are not what they seem. When we are done wrong, through our eyes it looks as if the other person won, yet Numbers 14:18 REminds us, “The Lord is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty…”. Let God Be your vindicator and you’ll always win.

REflections from Promises for Your Everyday Life

This morning’s devotional by Joyce Meyer speaks about temptation and the fact that it’s an unavoidable part of life. However, she poses the question, “When you’re tempted, will you be ready?” As one of my siSTARS says, we have to stay ready so we don’t have to get ready. Meyer has the follow suggestions to assist us with preparation: 1) be wise—wisdom looks ahead; 2) believe you can resist; 3) think of facing temptation as normal life. If you're expecting a fight, you'll always be ready; 4) avoid areas of weakness; and 5) don’t give yourself too much credit. All of this boils down to you can do all things through Christ if you stay close and focus in on Thee.

When you can’t seem to figure out anything else, do everything in love. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Fabulous faith filled Friday, my friend.
