Daily Devotional for August 13, 2021
“Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:”
1 Peter 4:12 KJV
There is a saying, “fake it until you make it”, but Osteen’s message this morning encourages us to “faith it until we make it”. He says, “It’s easy to have faith at the start… It’s easy to have faith at the end… The challenge is having faith in the middle… In the middle is where most people lose the battle.” When we enter that phase along life’s JOurneY, let us BE still and REflect from where He has brought us (those things that we have seen), and keep the faith knowing He has a plan, He’s never failed, and He is going to do exceedingly abundantly more than we can ever ask or think (with the unseen).
Leviticus 21
As a REminder in Leviticus 21, only God is holy—no one or nothing else, for we fall short, but strive to BE like Him.
REflection from Bold Leaders
Hillsong College speaks to conviction this morning, saying, “Bold leaders are called to live by conviction rather than convenience. Temptations usually come in the form of something that is convenient, easy, and pleasurable, but taking the easy way out will never truly take us where God is calling us. Conviction will keep you where talent and gifting can’t sustain you.” We know that anything worth having, we must work for. Our gifts and talents make some things come with ease. However, our faith, trust, and most importantly, BElief, keep us knowing God our Father will see us T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) and to what He has prepared for our lives.
Proverbs 22:4
Let us BE meek in REverence to the Father, and what (wo)man sees as weakness, He will strengthen us and bless us for our obedience. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
Focus on the Father’s favor over your life this Friday, my friend.
