Daily Devotional for August 12, 2021

“The fear of human opinion disables; trusting in God protects you from that.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭29:25‬ ‭MSG‬‬

I love the scripture associated with Osteen’s message this morning. Proverbs 29:25 REads, “The fear of human opinion disables; trusting in God protects you from that.” We cannot worry about the thoughts of others as we faith walk and truly trust where God is leading us. When we truly let go of our plans and trust in His, as Osteen says, “At the right time He’ll make things happen that you could never make happen.” I’m a living testimony. I never would have imagined that I could live how I’m living, drive what I’m driving, work where I am working, and doing what I am doing on my on. It took me tuning out others and trusting in Him.

Leviticus 20

As written in Leviticus 20:26, let us REmember that our Father has set us apart from all other people to be His very own. We are chosen, anointed, and appointed. Therefore, let us focus on obedience and doing His will.

REflection from Bold Leaders

This morning’s devotional from Hillsong College speaks about leaders BEing consumed by vision. The text says, “Without natural vision we are unable to witness all the splendor of God’s handy work… We all need vision, not only to do something but hopefully to do the things that God has in-store for our lives. It is said that vision without action is just a dream, but action without vision is a nightmare.“ Let us BE bold leaders personally and professionally. Through faith, trust, and vision, we can live prayers we once prayed for ourselves or those of our ancestors.
