Daily Devotional for August 11, 2021

“So Ananias went and found Saul. He laid his hands on him and said, ‘Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road, has sent me so that you might regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.’” Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭9:17‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Osteen provides us with one of the greatest examples of how to truly test our faith this morning, and that is to do good to those who persecute you. In this morning’s devotional we REad about how Ananias went and prayed for Saul, his biggest enemy. Osteen encourages us, “…you have to be the bigger person…and bless those who have cursed you. In their time of need, don’t withhold help.” We all know that if we give it shall BE given unto us, good measure pressed down, shaken together and running over.

Leviticus 19

There are many expectations of us as decreed by God, as provided in Leviticus 19. May we take time to assess our lives and work to continuously improve our lives as we draw closer to Christ, striving to live as He desires of us.

REflection from Bold Leaders by Hillsong College

Today we BEgin yet another series on leadership by Hillsong College, “Bold Leaders”. This morning’s message talks about Caleb and his boldness. The message for today says, “If you want the blessing of God in your life, and to be used greatly by Him - you’re going to have to be bold and do things His way.” It goes further to say, “There are promises all throughout the Bible of what your life will look like if you live your life God’s way - promises of peace, blessing, desires granted, revelations, a good reputation, and more…but it all starts with giving up your ways for His. Trust Him, it’s worth it - He promised it would be! Let that promise compel you, like it did Caleb!”

We all have an opportunity to live such a life, but we must choose, and with our choices come consequences—whether blessings or lessons. I have given up my ways and chosen to trust Him, and share in the experience in my book “Restore the Joy: A Transformation Through Confirmation”. Have you? Will you?

Mark 8:34

Our lives are not our own; to Him we BElong. Let us let go, let God, and trust Him with our lives. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

What are your waiting for this Wednesday, my friend?
