He is all we need
“God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.”
Psalms 46:1 NLT
I have not BEen as exhausted as I am right now in a few years. The roles and REsponsibilities of both my personal and professional lives collided this week. Yet as the scripture associated with the lesson from Osteen REminds us that God is our REfuge and strength (Psalm 46:1). Osteen says, “God has some strength in reserve for you…. if you will get quiet and turn off the negative voices, you will feel a peace that passes understanding.” As I REflect back on this week, I am truly a witness of this. When I thought about what was ahead of me for the week, each day I rose, and even transitioning from task to task and place to place, I REminded myself that “God’s got this” and “I can do all things through Christ”. Even when I physically felt like I wouldn’t make it through, the Lord went BEfore me and carried me through. A gentle REminder, don’t let the mind overwhelm you with thoughts of exhaustion, but let God’s strength REmind you of His might horsepower to drive you and quiet your mind to let His peace lead you.
Isaiah 64
REmember that there is no one like our God. For as written in Isaiah 64:4, “For since the world began, no ear has heard and no eye has seen a God like you, who works for those who wait for him!”
REflection from Promises for Your Everyday Life
The title of Joyce Meyer’s message this morning is “God Will Never Change, But You Can!” She says, “You can enjoy life if you decide to! But you must truly believe that it is God's will for you to experience continual joy. Then you must decide to enter into that joy, which is essential to your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.” My favorite word: choices. What do you choose for yourself today? I chose a few years ago to BE intentional about finding the JOY in the JOurneY with Christ. Will you join me?
