Today Osteen speaks to how a great persecution forced Philip out of Jerusalem and into Samaria. He wrote, “It was in Samaria that Philip saw the greatest days of his ministry. If he would have stayed in Jerusalem, he would have never reached his full potential.” Is it time to move? Are you complacent? Do you feel there’s more for you to do? Hindsight is definitely 20/20 for me. I was going T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) so much personally at one point, I told myself I would just stay with what had BEen familiar for so long professionally.
Then an unexpected opportunity presented itself, and with uncertainty in myself but faith in the Father, I am now positioned where doors and windows of opportunity are allowing me to speak on different levels and BE considered a subject matter expert, and blaze new trails I never imagined. Have you BEen settling? Is it time to shift? Are you BEing persecuted and need peace? Don’t let others push you out; P.U.S.H. (pray until something happens) yourself out.
Numbers 21
No matter what battle you might go through, whether mentally, physically, or emotionally, as with the Israelites in Numbers 21:3, the Lord will hear your cry out and give you victory.
REflection from Promises for Your Everyday Life
Yesterday Meyer spoke about boundaries outside ourselves, and today she speaks of boundaries within as she speaks to sustainability. She writes, “Our body gives us warnings when we're pushing too hard, like an ache here or a pain there. But we think, ‘I'll be all right,’ and we ignore the warnings until we're too sick to ignore them…. We can't ignore God's direction to take time to rest and not pay a price for it.” I take this devotional as a bold warning for myself today. I hear you, Lord. I’m REviewing my schedule and REarranging it for REst. What about you, my friend?
