Daily Devotional for August 31, 2021

“Then he’s asks them, ‘Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?’” Mark 4:40

Last night BEfore going to bed I read from “Calming Anger”, a devotional by Joel and Jonathan Malm that spoke about fear. It said, “Whenever you feel angry, you can be certain that there is fear behind it… So to really deal with anger you’ve got to confront the deep fears we all have of not getting the security, connection, or control we want and need… Anger is a powerful force that, if we channel it correctly, can bring awareness to the areas of our lives where we are looking for fulfillment from somewhere other than God. It can actually drive us to seek his love.” Now this morning, Osteen’s message brings up Mark 4:40, which reads, “Then he’s asks them, ‘Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?’”

I smiled when I read that scripture and the accompanying devotional for today. There is truly nothing like growth along life’s glorious adventure with Christ. I REalize today that I was once of little (if any faith). However now, I truly have faith over fear. BEcause of my experiences and outcomes from truly depending on Christ, as Osteen says, I REalize now that God knows I can handle whatever He brings my way. He wouldn’t have allowed difficulty if it were going to stop my destiny. My faith is truly in Christ and I can now say my actions speak louder than words.

Joshua 12

As with the kings in Joshua 12, we all will REceive portions of what God has in store for His children.

REflections from Leadership Ignited

This morning’s message from “Leadership Ignited” speaks about crucial conversations. The text says, “Too often, crucial conversations are avoided or not done in love. However, done well, these conversations can be a powerful tool that promotes growth and ignites the leadership of all involved.” Avoidance stunts growth and opportunity. Let us not fear, but forge ahead in faith, lead with love with our language to develop leadership in ourselves and others.

Ephesians 6:12

Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. No battle is too strong for the Savior to help you. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Treasure time today, my friend.
