Silence is Soothing and Brings Solace

“And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:” ‭‭Acts‬ ‭20:22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For every major victory and every significant accomplishment we have to step into the unknown”, Osteen says. He goes further to say, “Sometimes the reason God doesn’t tell us what is in our future is that He knows we can’t handle it right then.” Many of us do not REcognize our own strength. When we go through things we ask, why me? Yesterday my son asked me why does it seem like he’s the one out of his siblings that seems to get sick or hurt. I told him we all go T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak), but there are challenges given uniquely for each one of us that we don’t understand as we go into them, but God knows our strength, and He will use it for growth and knowledge for what’s to come later in our lives.

Take time this weekend to look back over your life and at the steps you took into the unknown, and then REmain forward, focused and following in faith (and not fear) and favor into where He will take you for your good along your JOurneY.

Numbers 36

As in Numbers 36, there is an inheritance from the Father for you and for me.

REflection from Promises for Your Everyday Life

Joyce Meyer speaks to experiencing God’s peace. She says, “One way to develop consistent peace is to learn to live 'in the now.’” This is exactly what I encourage my family, friends, clients, and colleagues to do. I learned it the hard way by worrying and trying to control my life. It wasn’t until I truly let go and let God, but just as importantly, focusing on each day—the present—that is given. Matthew 6:11 says, “Give us this day our daily bread.” There is nothing we can do about yesterday, and tomorrow is not promised, but we can live in the moment of today, with no REgrets. And we can choose peace for He is our peace which surpasses all other understanding.

James 1:19

Let us lean towards listening and less on lashing out to lose love through lethal language. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Silence is soothing and brings solace, my friend.
