Daily Devotional for July 23, 2021
“But as it is, I will give them back everything they’ve lost. The last word is, I will have mercy on them.” Jeremiah 33:25-26 MSG
The calculation with Christ is simple from a business perspective. As emphasized from this morning’s devotional by Joel Osteen, God will give us back everything we’ve lost. The last word is, He will have mercy on us (Jeremiah 33:25-26 MSG). The return on investment with following Christ REsults in balance. As Osteen highlights, “We all will go through things that put us in a deficit… but God will add up the losses, and pay us back.” We never lack or want for anything with Christ; He’s Jehovah Jireh, our provider.
Genesis 50
When we live in Christ we never have to worry about loss, for as in Genesis 50:20, what may be planned evil against us, God will use those same plans for our good. Everything will work in our favor with Christ.
REflection from The Cost of Following: Self or Christ
The theme this morning and even with the message from “The Cost of Following: Self or Christ”, there is a cost when it comes to Christ. As asked in this morning’s message, “Have you thought about the cost of following Jesus? Have you counted it all up and laid it all down at His feet?” Though from (wo)man’s eyes and thoughts it’s a lot, but the REturn on investment is exceedingly abundantly more than we can ever imagine.
Luke 6:35-36
The greatest gift and REward is love. It doesn’t cost a thing, but brings the biggest REward in life. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
Focus freely on the favor of the Father this Friday, my friend.
