Daily Devotional for July 24, 2021

“…Do not cast away your confidence which has great reward.” Hebrews 10:35

I love the scripture from Osteen’s message this morning. It says, “…Do not cast away your confidence which has great reward” (Hebrews 10:35). Some of us give up and give in and never let go and let God. Ecclesiastes 9:11 says, “… The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.” We’ve also heard the saying that anything worth having is worth waiting for. If you have faith, don’t ever doubt the power of God. This morning’s devotional is like a continuation of the message I received from a text last night. It spoke about big prayers.

The message from “Living Changed: Conversations with God” by Changed Women’s Ministry said, “Most people could tell you what they’d wish for if they had three wishes. But for some reason, we don’t ask for big things in prayer…God isn’t a genie in a bottle who’s waiting to give us exactly what we want, when we want it. But He does answer big prayers… We have proof throughout the Bible that God performs miracles, but we don’t live like we know we can ask for them… Sometimes we don’t ask because we’re afraid of being disappointed. Or when we don’t see immediate results, we stop asking. But sometimes we don’t ask because we don’t want to surrender control and acknowledge we can’t do it on our own. My brother, my siSTAR, don’t give up or give in. The Father sees, and He knows. You will REap your REward in His timing. Trust His process, and live in the moment with no REgrets and wait with great expectancy.

Leviticus 1

As God spoke to Moses in Leviticus 1:2, “Speak to the People of Israel. Tell them, When anyone presents an offering to God, present an animal from either the herd or the flock” (Leviticus‬ ‭1:1-2‬ ‭MSG‬‬). Whatever we present to God, let it be the fat and substance of all we have, for every good and perfect gift comes from Him.

REflection from The Cost of Following: Self or Christ

The last message from “The Cost of Following: Self or Christ” focuses in on the cost to Jesus. It says, “As we think through the cost of following Jesus, let me ask you a one final question. What was the cost to Jesus? What did it cost Jesus to save you? He came to live and die for us.” There is nothing in this life that we can compare to giving up that Christ gave up for us. Choosing to follow Christ is a no brainer. He sacrificed everything for you and me. We don’t have to literally die as He did, we are only asked to give our lives over to Him.

Romans 10:17

Faith is the evidence of things not seen, but we have heard of it through the Word and can always trust in Christ. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Sacrifice something for the Savior this Saturday, my friend.
