Endure to REach so much more
“I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all.” Ecclesiastes 9:11 NIV
I didn’t complete my devotional time BEfore starting my day today. Instead, I waited until the last minute to get up to support my youngest at his Fun Run this morning. Each kid in the 2nd grade had winning in their eyes, and the one thing that stood out, and I now see is in alignment with today’s message, each of them ran their own race to the finish. They didn’t care who finished first; they were focused on completing their laps for themselves. As Osteen speaks this morning, “You don't have to finish first. You're not competing with anybody else. Just finish your course.” Your race, your pace, with grace.
Lamentations 5
As written in Lamentations 5:21, may the Lord REstore us and REnew our days.
REflection from Promises for Your Everyday Life
Meyer says this morning that the Bible says that there is power in agreement. She notes, “Agreement comes when the people involved stop being selfish. Selfishness is an immature inward focus. The key is to care about what the other person needs, be willing to humble yourself, and do what you can to meet those needs.” No matter what the RElationship, let us give selflessly to one another, for when we do, we know God is with us.
