In hurt and healing we can depend and hold to His hand
“Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.” Psalm 30:5
Today’s devotional from “Daily Strength for Women” BEgins with Psalm 30:5, which says, “weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.” The message “Tears on My Pillow emphasizes, “Cling to Jesus. His love will ease the pain like nothing else can. Yes, life will be different, but the sun will shine again. You will smile, and you will laugh again. God will not leave you comfortless, and he will be enough for all that you're going through.” We will all have some teary, sleepless nights, not sure how long the sadness of situations may last. But we can REst assured in the Lord that it won’t last, for through our mourning a new morning will come with Him and His comfort.
REflection from Healing What’s Within by Evan and Jenny Owens
This morning’s devotional from “Healing What’s Within” speaks to “Strength in Weakness”. The writer BEgins by REminding us, “…but strength is found in acknowledging our weaknesses.” When speaking about Paul, the text says, “Despite all he had been through, Paul recognized that he only stood a fighting chance if he let his guard down. Humility invites others to help us. Pride pushes them away. Humility permits God to enter into our pain. Pride says, ‘I can do it alone.’ Humility listens to wise counsel. Pride rejects the advice of others. Humility leads to healing. Pride leads to destruction (Proverbs 16:18).” No matter what we may go T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak), let us BE humble to REceive help from Him or those He directs to us to help with our healing.
