Begin again within
“Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, "children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation." Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.” Philippians 2:14-16
Today is the sabbath, a day of rest, reflection, and opportunity to prepare for a new week. Today’s message from “Daily Strength for Women” starts with Philippians 2:14-16, encouraging us to not be in “Constant Complaint” of things in our lives. “Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure…”. We can easily get distracted by those things that aren’t good with others and even with ourselves. As the text says, “The temptation to complain or bicker can be overwhelming at times… Our complaints are often valid and true, but we miss the joy that the Lord desires for us when we seek out only the negative.“ Let us always look to focus on the positive perspective of all things, even the negative things, for something of good can be found our learned from everything. Shine this week, and see the goodness in others and what you do.
Reflection from The Blessing Devotional Plan
Today we begin “The Blessing Devotional Plan” by Kari Jobe. It speaks of “A Fresh Encounter”. I’m not sure what you experienced last week, yesterday, or even prior to reading this message, but renewal is upon you. As written in today’s message, “If you feel like the Israelites – wearied by obstacles, overwhelmed by setbacks and enemies, take heart. The God who split the Red Sea is with you. The God who overcame the Egyptians wants to give you hope. The God who led the Israelites into their Promised Land wants to deliver you out of your struggle.” Move ahead in this moment with faith in knowing God is with you in each encounter to give you life and not harm you. EnJOY each moment, live in each moment with a focus on the great things He has done and will continue to do for you.
