Challenges as we walk with Christ builds character for the REmainder of our lives

Blessed are those whose strength is in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage. Psalm 84:5

This morning’s message from “Daily Strength for Women” says, “We are a go go, go culture… A pilgrimage is a slower journey, not a race run at remarkable speed…. On this exodus, quality matters…. Don't give in to the temptation to run. Walk with Christ, allowing him to mature you as you move.“ May we work to BE more intentional about our time, for it is something we can never get back. May we use it to enJOY quality time with Christ and ourselves, and then working to limit those things that create haste and hustle along life’s JOurneY.

REflection from Shaped for a Purpose

Today in “The Stringer of Your Character” the author focuses on what God, as our Master Shaper, has made us to be, at the very centre of our being. The writer says, “Down the centre of a surfboard is something called the ‘stringer’…. The stringer defines the character of the surfboard. This powerful, flexible, durable core protects the board from the raw rigours of the ocean and the powers of crashing waves.” He goes further to say, “Our Master Shaper wants us to have the same kind of inner strength, flexibility, and endurance.” That’s why we must go T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) some things that we may not desire, for those things strengthen us and develop our character. The author REminds us, “A strong character can multiply your impact as you execute your purpose in the Master Shaper’s kingdom.” Challenges as we walk with Christ builds character for the REmainder of our lives.
