Welcome wisdom from the Word
“For the Lord of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it?” Isaiah 14:27
Today’s devotional by Osteen lifts up Isaiah 14:27 which reads, “For the Lord of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it?” Let’s us keep this in the forefront of our minds, especially when the unexpected arises, and as the enemy works to kill, steal, and destroy in our lives. I love the perspective Osteen gives by saying, “When all the scenes of your life come together, it’s going to work out for your good.” We sometimes tend to focus on situations when in actuality we need to focus on seasons and the segments of our lives that have come together over time. Just as in most movies, love wins, the enemy is defeated, therefore in our lives, we win with Christ. Wait for it…
1 Samuel 15
As we travel along life’s JOurneY, let us remember as written in 1 Samuel 15:22, “…to obey is better than sacrifice…”.
REflection from Promises for Your Everyday Life
This morning Joyce Meyer gives a great perspective on love in her devotional, “Love Everybody Differently”. She says, “Unfortunately, we Christians sometimes try to love others as if they are all the same. You'll find that not all people need the same thing from you...Some people just need different forms of love.” Even with love, we have a choice to make. We are REsponsible for our own happiness, and we are REsponsible for the love that we share with others. Give a dose to those who are distant, and pour into those who pour into you.
