Let us listen for His lead in our lives

“Walk with the wise and become wise,
for a companion of fools suffers harm.” Proverbs 13:20

Today’s message from “Daily Strength for Women” focuses on “Relationships”. It says, “Humans were created for relationship;we are hardwired to want and need others…. It is a widely known fact that friends either bring us up or drag us down. Likewise, friends can either encourage or discourage us in our pursuit of godliness.” Let us evaluate our circle to ensure that those who surround us and provide advice and support do not allow our circle of trust and guidance BE broken, but may they also BE steadfast and immovable in their faith with God. As the scripture highlighted for today says from Proverbs 13:20, “Spend time with the wise and you will become wise, but the friends of fools will suffer.”

John 4

Let us REmember the words spoked by Christ in John 4:13-14 which say, “Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: but whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.”

Expect the Unexpected by John F. Hannah

This morning’s message from John F. Hannah speaks about Matthew and him follow Christ. The text speaks about how Matthew had sat in a booth collecting taxes for years. Yet one day Jesus was passing by and said in Matthew 9:9, “Follow me.” Hannah says, “That is what I call THE UNEXPECTED! Matthew didn’t apply to be a disciple but was chosen by Christ while going through his normal routine. He heard Jesus’ call, dropped everything, and followed. It doesn’t get any simpler than that!” He goes on to emphasize, “There were no signs; it was totally UNEXPECTED. Know this fact: you were CHOSEN, APPOINTED, and ASSIGNED TO GO BEAR FRUIT!” May we take heed and listen to Christ as He chooses us to follow Him and His will for our lives.
