Find friends who are family in the Father
“They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” Acts 2:42
This morning’s message from “Daily Strength for Women” is titled “Devoted Disciple”. The writer says, “Believers need each other, and they are encouraged by the devotion of others.” The scripture from Acts 2:42 states, “They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” Let us surround ourselves with those who not only play together but pray together. Christ should BE a commonality among our circle of friends.
John 5
In John 5:6 and 8, Jesus asked the man with an infirmity, “Wilt thou be made whole?… Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.” When things come in question, we must BElieve, having faith and do the work for the Lord to help us through.
REflection from Expect the Unexpected by John F. Hannah
I love the message from “Expect the Unexpected” from John F. Hannah today. He says, “Who looks to a boy to meet the needs of the multitude? GOD! Who expects two small fish and five small loaves to feed thousands? GOD! There are needs that must be met on this Earth and He will use those who are completely UNEXPECTED to meet the needs of the moment (even with limited resources) so He can be glorified.” May we never count ourselves out, or anyone else for that matter to BE called upon to BE used by the Father. Let us only BE open and willing to BE used by Him to do His will—even those things that might seem unimaginable or impossible to (wo)man.
Proverbs 18:24
