Faith over fear for God is always near
“His massive arms are wrapped around you, protecting you. You can run under his covering of majesty and hide His arms of faithfulness are a shield keeping you from harm.” Psalm 91:4
It took me a moment to understand the title, but “Feathers and Wings” is truly spot on. Today’s devotional from “Daily Strength for Women speaks about how our Father is our protector. Psalm 91:4 says, “His massive arms are wrapped around you, protecting you. You can run under his covering of majesty and hide His arms of faithfulness are a shield keeping you from harm.” The message says, “We want to run and hide from many things in life, thinking that if we can run, difficulty will surely be gone when we choose to come back.” Yet as believers in Christ, let us not fear and retreat, but remain steadfast in doing what’s right and His will for us, and He will shield us and shift us for His purpose along our journey in life.
Reflection from All is Calm: Receiving Jesus’ Rest This Season
Day Two of “All is Calm: Receiving Jesus’ Rest This Season” reminds us to “Remember God’s Goodness”. As this portion of the devotional says, “We all suffer from soul amnesia, forgetting who God is and what He has done for us from one day to the next. Like you, I too must remind myself each year who Jesus is and why His birth is so miraculous—not because my mind doesn’t know but because my heart ceases to be amazed. As the old saying goes, familiarity breeds contempt, and sadly, our own hearts lose that sense of wonder.“ May we each day, and throughout the day, remind ourselves of His great wondrous work, great and small in our lives and the world. May we work to keep the thoughts of the sovereign one forever in our hearts and minds. God is god and can do all things but fail.
1 Corinthians 13:13
Let us always have faith in the Father and hope in our hearts, but most importantly, love unconditionally as we walk with and do the work of Christ.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
Faith over fear for God is always near, my friend.
