Rest a little while

Listen to me all you godly ones: Love the Lord with passion! The Lord protects and preserves all those who are loyal to him. But he pays back in full all those who reject him in their pride. Psalm 31:23

Everything we do should be done “With Passion”. The author from that message today says, “Our greatest efforts should go toward our relationship with Jesus, the one who freed us from our bondage, and deeply pursues our heart.… You are your best self when you are in relationship with him.” May we always strive to love our Father with all that we have to give.

The message of today speaks to “Why We Need Rest at Christmas.” The text says, “God knows we’re prone to frenetic activity. This is one of the reasons He built in a day of rest…. In practicing rest, we acknowledge God’s trustworthiness: even when we cease working, God continues to hold our world together.” Let us work to focus on resting this holiday season so that we create a new habit to continue throughout the years to come.
