Fasting in the Father brings fulfillment for the mind, body, and soul

“See if there is any offensive way in me and lead me in the way everlasting.” Psalm 139:24

Today’s scripture from Psalm 139:24 says, “See if there is any offensive way in me and lead me in the way everlasting.” Sometimes we can be “Offended”, as the title of today’s devotional. The message says, “Even if you aren't intentionally trying to cause offense, unfiltered thoughts that land as words can end up being hurtful…. In the same way, if you are prone to being offended, take a look at the heart of the person who said the wrong thing.“ Whether on the giving or receiving end, let us be truly mindful of our words and actions. May they come from a place of love, peace, and respect as we work with one another each day.

Reflection from Spiritual Disciplines

Today “The Discipline of Fasting” is discussed in “Spiritual Disciplines”. We are reminded that “A properly practiced fast is food for the soul…. The purpose of fasting isn't to obtain what we want from God!… The goal of fasting is God’s glorification….A well-practiced fast, combined with prayer, will allow God to work in you the change that you have been searching for a long time.” Fast in faith with the Father to focus on figuring things out.
