You are responsible for your own happiness

Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. Colossians 3:13

There are some things in life that should have a “Natural Response” as the title of today’s message. One thing is forgiveness. Today’s devotional encourages us, “Be quick to forgive and to help each other succeed…. Forgive the wrongs done to us and help others to bear the burdens of their weaknesses.” I have learned that forgiveness is for me. Work to free yourself by being loving and kind, not holding a grudge, and let God be your vindicator. If your flesh makes you want to kill, allow your heart to kill with kindness.

Reflection from 7 Ways to Renew Your Mind

The fourth step of the “7 Steps to Renewing Your Mind” says, “Confess what you believe, not what you feel.” Scripture tells us in Proverbs 18:21, “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” We should only spray those things that are good. As today’s message says, “We possess what we confess.… Don’t use your mouth as a thermometer, which only reads the temperature of your current condition, allow God’s word to turn your mouth into a thermostat, which changes the temperature of your life by confessing what God says.“ What we speak we manifest. Don’t manifest mess—manifest greatness.
