Daily Devotional for June 5, 2021
Then Jesus told her, “I AM the Messiah!” John 4:26 NLT
A woman. According to today’s devotional, the first person Jesus told He was the Messiah was to a Samaritan woman who had a rough past and made many mistakes. We have to REmember that God will use each of us for His glory. Osteen says, “He can turn your mess into your message. He’ll use you to help others who are going through the same thing.” Let us not BE ashamed to tell of His goodness and what He has done in our lives. Let us not BE afraid to walk boldly in faith BEcause of fear. For as Pastor Steven Furtick said in a message yesterday, “When you feel fear it gives you an opportunity to exercise faith.”
Genesis 2
Genesis 2:18, “The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” May we appreciate the friendships in others who help us along life’s JOurneY. Perspective is key; God made helpmates BEfore soulmates.
REflection from Battlefield of the Mind
In this life we will experience suffering and hard times, and we will continuously go T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) for our breakthrough. In today’s devotional, Joyce Meyer says, “When people watch us as we turn to God for help in our hardships and they see our victories, it provides a witness to them.” Are you a witness? Are you choosing to praise Him in advance and praise Him through the storm? I have and will continue to do so BEcause I’m a witness of the associated scripture which confirms, “And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast” (1 Peter 5:10 NIV).
