May we REmember the riches found in our Father when we feel at our lowest
“Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done.” Proverbs 19:17
When we think of poverty, most times we think of lacking funds. However, today’s devotional REminds us that poverty comes in other forms. The message from “Daily Strength for Women” says, “People can be poor in many ways…. But there are those who suffer from poverty of joy, hope, and love. There are those around you, even today, who are hurting from their lack of being loved by someone or suffering from despair.“ May we work to find ways to share the overflowing and limitless goodness the Lord BEstows upon us, giving and pouring into others freely who lack. We are blessed to BE a blessing, so pass it on.
REflection from While We Wait by Leading and Loving It
Jenny Clayville, author of this morning’s message from “While We Wait” says, “We cannot confuse the appointing with the anointing.” She goes on to say, “All of us are anointed. We’re all purposed with a calling, but for some of us, embracing today means we wait, train, listen, are crushed, become resilient, and get ready. Plans are important but so is prayer, listening, and waiting. We need to choose to embrace today, not tomorrow.” Let us look at each day as a blessed opportunity to live in the moment, learn in the moment, and grow in the moment in preparation for what God speaks of and is preparing us for as He speaks in Jeremiah 29:11. What we are waiting for will not harm us but bring us pleasure and JOY, so enJOY each day as it comes.
