Getting back to you and me in ‘23 with our minds focused on Thee

Your eyes beheld my unformed substance. In your book were written all the days that were formed for me, when none of them as yet existed. Psalm 139:16

For the year 2023 I’m focused on getting back to me and being free. Therefore what is more befitting than this 365-day devotional, “Daily Strength for Women” by BroadStreet Publishing. The message says, “It’s the day of new beginnings and you might be feeling a mixture of emotions…. Whatever your thoughts and feelings…remember that you have the spirit of Christ in your heart and mind, ready to help you in all of your decisions and strengthening you through any challenges.” Let’s focus on this day and the new beginnings taking 2023 one day at a time to live in the moment with no regrets, putting ourselves and self-care first, keeping Him as the center of all that we are and all that we do.

Matthew 16

Matthew 16:25-26 says, “For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?” Hindsight is 20-20. Five years ago I decided to let go of what I had in return for the Lord to save my soul. Here I am today on this first day of 2023 with more than I could have ever imagined. When we let go and let God He blesses us in ways we could never imagine. Don’t be afraid to let go in this new year for what God has for you.

Reflection from Hello Beautiful by Kara Barker

On this new day in this new year we also begin “Hello Beautiful” by Kara Barker. Today’s message is “You Are God’s Masterpiece”. Barker says, “You are God’s own masterpiece. That means you are neither ordinary nor average. You are a one-of-a-kind, an original.… As Christians, rather than going to the world to obtain validation or confirmation about one’s self-worth and self-confidence, we are encouraged to seek our validation through the word of God. Ephesians 2:10, states, ‘For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.’” There is nothing more perfect than what is created by the Father. Know your worth and be content and at peace with who you are because of Whose you are.

2 Corinthians 5:17

Everything is anew for me and you when we choose to walk with Christ.

Getting back to you and me in ‘23 with our minds focused on Thee, my friend.
