Daily Devotional for August 24, 2021
“I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.”
Philippians 3:14 NLT
I love Osteen’s perspective of David in Psalms 23:4 when he said, “ I walk through the valley”. Like David, we have to REmember, as Osteen frames it, the valley is not our home—we won’t stay there. However, we must persevere T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak). As Osteen encourages, know that each step is another step towards our destiny.
Joshua 5
Like the Israelites in Joshua 5:6, those that have come BEfore us are/will pass away, and we must step up to fight in faith to continue on the work of the Lord.
REflection from When The Holy Spirit Moves
The message this morning encourages us to inquire with ourselves as to whether we are able to say that we also love the Holy Spirit for what He does within us and what He does in the lives of others through us. I know for myself that the Holy Spirit dwells within me. This path that I am on has challenged me in so many ways. The old me would have lashed out at others and not control my temper. However, with the Spirit within me, I have felt less of me and more of Thee, giving grace and striving to rise above circumstances working to BE the bigger person, and definitely giving grace to others.
Romans 1:16
There is no shame for we gain in Christ. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
The trials and tests today will trade for triumphs and testimonies tomorrow, my friend.
