Let us live in His everlasting love each day
May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you. 1 Thessalonians 3:12
A little story was told with the devotional this morning from Daily Strength for Women. It was about a little girl who prepared her own bubble bath using the entire bottle and the bubbles overflowing. The message goes on to say, “God wants us to have an overflow in our lives. He wants us to live so close to him that his sweetness wears off on us. And then he wants our love to increase and overflow into the lives of others.” I don’t know about you, but that sounds so peaceful and enJOYable, and that’s exactly what I want. So I’m striving today and each day to BE so into Him that I’m saturated by love to share from Him. What about you? Will you join too?
Luke 4
As spoken by Jesus in Luke 4:8, “‘Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.’”
REflection from The Company You Keep Matters
It’s time to “Check Your Circle”, as today’s message is titled. The devotional for today speaks about the people Jesus kept around as He told the little girl to get up in Mark 5. “It was a group of people who were closest to the need and who agreed with what Jesus said. Those who laughed were not allowed in. In the same way, there are ways you can know who should be in your close circle of friends and who should be put out.“ Are those around you lifting you up with morals or lowering your standards? Are they available to help you or do the get heal and look for ways to bring harm to you? What is produced as a REsult of your RElationship with you friends? Let’s focus on the Fruit of the Spirit, and not let bad apples spoil our bunch.
