We must always remember that God has already paid the ultimate sacrifice for our lives. We have been guaranteed eternal life by choosing Christ as our Lord and Savior. As the writer states, “We are a living work in progress all the while the final work in us has already been finished. We are forgiven and spiritually perfect at the same time we are living through the process.” Our goal is to continue to strive to walk, work, and be more like Him until our days come to an end.

Hebrews 10:14 reads, “Because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.”

Our Father’s one sacrifice cancels out all of our sins, even those yet to be.

Small Straws Scripture: Proverbs 4:23-25 Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life. Put away from you a deceitful mouth, and put perverse lips far from you. Let your eyes look straight ahead, and your eyelids look right before you.

Let us always guard our heart, for it is the center and source of everything that flows from us in our life.
