Growth comes with being meek, gentle, and accepting when we are wrong
"Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth." Matthew 5:5
“Blessed are the Gentle” is the title of today’s message from “Daily Strength for Women”. When we hear the word gentle or meek, we tend to think about something or someone being soft or weak. It is stated in the passage “The Greek word for meekness referred to a war horse that had been tamed.” It goes on to say, “Gentleness and meekness can be inaccurately understood as weakness. Being gentle before God and attentive to his voice takes focus and discipline. It takes practice, training, humility, and patience. True gentleness is of great value to a believer, and there is nothing weak about it.” Let is strive to be gentle and meek, exemplifying a strength that will be rewarded in due time.
Reflection from The Blessing Devotional Plan
Today we hear about “The Goodness of God’s Nature” in “The Blessing Devotional Plan”. The messenger speaks to how she didn’t realize just how much room she had been giving fear in her heart after her family experience loss. She goes on to say, “In the middle of your sorrow, I believe God wants to tell you today, ‘My nature is good.’” Remember what comes naturally when we walk with our Father—God’s goodness, who He is, the miracles He does, all that is promised to us individually and collectively in Christ.
