Daily Devotional for August 15, 2021

“Then Mary said, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; may it be done to me according to your word.” And the angel left her.” Luke‬ ‭1:38‬ ‭AMP‬‬

The word this morning from Osteen REally puts things into perspective about us asking for things. He says, “When God puts a dream in your heart, He’ll show you the promise, but He won’t show you the middle. If He told us all it would take to come to pass, we would talk ourselves out of it.” Considering where you are now, REflect back on the JOurneY it took to get here. I never would have imagined experiencing separation/divorce, loss of my dad, living between two cities…but God. Choices, they come with blessings and/or lessons, but we have to go T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) to get to our breakthrough.

Leviticus 23

Though we work to REceive the promises, we must BE REminded, as written in Leviticus 23:3, “You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of complete rest, an official day for holy assembly. It is the Lord’s Sabbath day, and it must be observed wherever you live.” REst is REquired and needed for us to continue to do the work of the Lord.

REflection from Bold Leaders

The message from Hillsong College today says, “If you want to change the world, but constantly live like the world - you’ll never see your vision accomplished.” What doesn’t look right to (wo)man is a part of God’s plan. We are to BE of Christ; He puts visions in us. Therefore, we must focus on His promises to us, and not what others say or think. Today and each day be a communicator, changing the culture from deficit to defeat with Christ.

1 John 4:19

He paved the way with love, and we can follow in love with ease.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Surely goodness and mercy shall seek you this Sunday, my friend.
