Friends from the Father are part of His favor

“They sharpen their tongues like swords
and aim cruel words like deadly arrows.” Psalm 64:3

Today’s message from “Daily Strength for Women” says, “It can be difficult to ask for help at times, and we like to try to solve our problems on our own…. Rather than trying to muster up enough power to forge through life alone… He gives us strength, and he also gives us each other.” This morning I am so grateful for my RElationship with the Father, and I’m so thankful for the friendships that continue to last and those that are BEing established even in adulthood. He is my Solid Rock on which I can always depend, and they are the iron that sharpens and supports me along my way.

John 17

Jesus says in John 17:9 and 13 “I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.”

This morning we learn that “The Jesus Pace is a Relational Pace”. Boyd quotes Pedro Arrupe a Spanish priest this morning, who said, “What you are in love with, what seizes your imagination, will affect everything. It will decide what will get you out of bed in the morning, what you will do with your evening, how you spend your weekends, what you read, whom you know, what breaks your heart, and what amazes you with joy and gratitude. Fall in love, stay in love, and it will decide everything.” Let us fall in love with Jesus so that we are consumed with the fruit of the Spirit and live in abundance with peace, JOY, and even REceive REst.
