Labor of Love
Employment for most is inevitable and necessary in life to provide for ourselves and families. This morning’s message speaks to the importance of laboring in love. The passage says, “God says that any job, any ministry, is profitable. Don't look at the clock, wishing the time away. If you are too exhausted to reach out with God's love for others, then reevaluate what the Lord would have you do in service for Him. But don't hold out on serving Him because you are too ‘tired.’ He gave us His all because of His love. Respond in love for Him and give your all, showing His love to others.” On this sabbath, worship Him and take time to evaluate what you are doing in life for you and others. Are you fulfilled or are you just filling in a gap?
Ecclesiastes 11:6 reads, “In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.”
Let us not be idle in our work if it is not fulfilling, but pursue opportunities that allow of to give of our gifts and talents that we have been blessed with to bless others. Trust God even more with the work we do, for only He can help us through.
Small Straws Scripture: Philippians 3:13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead.
There is nothing that we can do with what is behind us but to reflect on it and learn from it. Therefore, let us focus on on each day, pressing forward and following how our Father is directing us to move, regardless of how uncomfortable it may be, for He knows what is best for you and me.

Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
Let us always focus on what God would have us to do, and not what me, you, or others desire us to do.
