It takes strength to let go, but that’s how we grow

“Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!” Habakkuk 3:17-18

May each day we remember and focus on “Our Strength”. That’s the message for today. We are encouraged when things just seem to get our perspective down and we seem to have “…a potent recipe for insecurity. When things seem impossible, and they often do, praise God that we have his promises and his power. It is not up to us to solve our problems; we need only to trust the Lord and accept his help.” No matter what we experience, keep the perspective that He is with us, carrying us, and keeping us. This too shall pass so just stay encouraged.

Reflection from Choosing Gratitude

Day 9 from “Choosing Gratitude is “For Letting Go”. The writer begins with a quote from Ann Landers which says, “Some people believe holding on and hanging in there are signs of great strength. However, there are times when it takes much more strength to know when to let go and then do it.” It is important to know in order to grow we have to let go. The message goes on to say, we can trust that God is doing something else. Something new. Something different. Something beautiful. We can trust that He uses pain for change, He uses growth for maturity, He uses hard things for greater things.” We have to go through for our breakthrough but He will make things new.

It takes strength to let go, but that’s how we grow, my friend.
